How do I set up a Garry's Mod PropHunt server?
PropHunt is a custom gamemode. First, download the PropHunt gamemode from GitHub or the Workshop and upload it to garrysmod/gamemodes/prophunt/ via File Manager. Then edit garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg and add gamemode prophunt and sv_defaultgamemode "prophunt". Restart the server.
PropHunt requires props available in the map you are running. Use maps that ship with prop spawns; search for ph_ maps on the Steam Workshop. Add them via the Workshop Addon Manager (Workshop Search in the sidebar) and update your mapcycle.txt.
The gamemode configuration file is typically at garrysmod/gamemodes/prophunt/gamemode/config.lua. Key settings: round time, team sizes, and which player models hunters use. Edit this file in File Manager and restart to apply changes.
For admin management, install ULX and ULib via the Addon Manager and assign yourself superadmin via the Admin Ranks page. PropHunt uses standard ULX commands for admin actions.
