Changelog

Every improvement, in plain language. What changed and why it matters to you. No jargon, no internal ticket numbers.

140 improvements across 14 releases

2026

New game: Necesse3 changes

  • Necesse server hosting is here

You can now host Necesse with Zeros Host. Build a shared colony, recruit settlers and take on bosses together on a world that runs 24 hours a day, so your progress carries on even while you are offline.

  • Manage everything from the panel

Set your world name, player slots, password and message of the day straight from the browser, with a live console and file editor, so there is no need for FTP. Daily backups and automatic restarts keep your world safe if the server ever falls over.

  • Try it free, then keep it from £5 a month

Every Necesse server starts with a free 24 hour trial and no card required, so you can try it fully before you pay. Paid plans start at £5 a month and you can upgrade any time from the panel.

2026

AI assistant5 changes

  • Connect your own AI assistant to your server

Point Claude, or any MCP compatible AI, at your Zeros Host server and it can read your files, configs, console output and crash logs to help you diagnose problems, with no more copy pasting logs into a chatbot.

  • An assistant that can act, not just read

Beyond reading, you can now let your assistant take actions for you, such as editing configs, running console commands, managing your backups and schedules, working with databases, and restarting when needed. It stays off until you turn it on, and every change runs behind a confirm first safety net.

  • You decide exactly what it can do

Permissions are set per key, so each connection only gets the powers you grant it, and you can revoke any of it in one click at any time.

  • Your secrets stay private

File contents handed to the assistant are scrubbed, so passwords and tokens never leak into a chat.

  • Your whole server at a glance

The assistant can pull a single health snapshot, see who is connected, and read resource usage whenever you ask.

2026

Minecraft3 changes

  • A much richer Minecraft panel

New tools across the Minecraft panel: a modpack browser to find and install modpacks without leaving the panel, a visual editor for your server welcome message, quick presets for common setups, a world manager, and a live performance monitor that graphs your server TPS over time.

  • Whitelist, player heads and an EULA prompt

A one click whitelist toggle, player heads shown next to who is online, and an EULA prompt built into the console so a fresh server never sits there refusing to start.

  • Starter kits and uploads that just work

Starter kits now reliably give you the kit again when you respawn, and server icon and datapack uploads work on every server.

Console1 change

  • A cleaner console

The server console has been rebuilt into one clear terminal with log, all, errors and chat views, the power controls easier to reach, and your server name back in the header.

Setup and support2 changes

  • A guided setup when you first open your panel

Open a server for the first time and a short walkthrough shows you where your power controls, files, settings and billing live, so you are not hunting around on day one.

  • Easier to reach us

A gentle check in makes it simple to leave feedback or open a ticket in a couple of clicks.

Dashboard and reliability2 changes

  • A tidier dashboard

You can now hide suspended servers from your dashboard to keep it clean.

  • A more stable panel

The panel no longer breaks for people using a browser translation extension, and standalone GMod servers no longer show a broken Update now button, since we keep GMod current centrally for you.

Billing1 change

  • Gentler failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your server is paused rather than lost, and it comes straight back online once the payment goes through.

Website1 change

  • A sharper site

A refreshed homepage with a game montage, an AI assistant spotlight and live demos, a new Unturned page, comparison pages, a Best DarkRP Addons 2026 guide, faster loading, and a redesigned changelog. The site also recovers on its own after an update instead of erroring on a tab you left open.

2026

Account & security1 change

  • Sign in to your panel with your Zeros Host account

You can now use the same Zeros Host account for the game panel. On the panel sign in page, choose Sign in with Zeros Host and you go straight through, with no second password to remember. This works whether you signed up with a password, with Google, or with two factor turned on.

Billing1 change

  • Your panel login details are shown as soon as you pay

After checkout you now get your panel address, the email to sign in with, and your password on the confirmation page, with a copy button for each. Signing in also carries across our site and your billing portal, so you are not asked to log in twice.

Trials2 changes

  • A clearer trial dashboard and upgrade page

Your trial dashboard and the page for keeping your server have both been rebuilt. You now see the logo for the game you are actually running, the memory and storage on each plan is shown correctly, and Discord bot trials get instructions for getting your bot online rather than server connection details that do not apply.

  • A clearer way back to your dashboard

The link in the top navigation now says Dashboard, so when you are signed in you can get back to your trial and your upgrade options without hunting for it.

Panel1 change

  • Readable folder names in Unturned storage

The storage breakdown for an Unturned server now shows readable folder names such as Maps and Bundles, matching how it already worked for other games.

Website3 changes

  • Start a trial from our help guides and blog

Our help articles and blog posts now link to a free trial for the game they are about, where that game has one, so you can go straight from reading to trying it.

  • Unturned pages brought up to date

Several pages still said Unturned had no free trial. It has had one since 13 September, and those pages have been corrected.

  • Two incorrect free trial claims removed

Two pages offered a free Rust trial, which we do not run. Those claims are gone. We would rather tell you what we actually offer than have you find out after signing up.

Plans & pricing1 change

  • The 120 GB plans are paused

Our four 120 GB plans are temporarily unavailable to order while we add storage capacity. Every other plan is unaffected, and existing servers keep running as normal.

2026

Trials3 changes

  • Keep your trial server without rebuilding it

While your trial is running you can now upgrade it straight from your dashboard and keep the server you are already using. Your world, your settings, your addons and your files stay exactly as they are, the server keeps running, and there is nothing to move across. If your trial has already finished, the same applies for as long as we are still holding your files.

  • You can now see when your trial server stops responding

If your trial server stops responding, your dashboard now tells you, along with roughly how long it has been unreachable and the usual things to check, so you can get it back up without guessing.

  • More reliable setup for games that use two ports

Some games need a pair of network ports side by side. Both are now reserved together when your server is created, rather than the second one being found unavailable partway through setup.

Website3 changes

  • A batch of improvements to how the site works on phones

We have reworked how the site behaves on a phone. The pricing page now puts every game we host right at the top so you can pick one straight away, with Garry's Mod on a larger card. Forms are easier to fill in across the site, including sign up, contact and all of our free tools. Several pages also read better on a small screen.

  • Quick links to your panel and billing from any page

A Links menu in the top navigation takes you straight to your game panel, your billing portal, and our service status page, so you are not hunting for the right address.

  • Unturned help guides

Four guides covering first setup, getting your friends in with a Server Code, changing the map, and installing Rocket plugins.

Unturned1 change

  • Unturned hosting is now available

You can rent an Unturned server from us, starting at £5 a month. Friends join with your Server Code rather than an address, Rocket plugins load on startup, and you pick the map from a dropdown in the panel instead of editing a config file. Daily off-site backups and full file access are included, as on every plan.

2026

Minecraft4 changes

  • Browse and install CurseForge modpacks

Search CurseForge modpacks and mods straight from your panel and install one with a click, alongside the Modrinth search you already had.

  • "Latest" now installs the newest Minecraft version

Creating a server on the "latest" Minecraft version used to pick an older release. It now installs the newest one.

  • The correct Java version, matched automatically

Your server now gets the right Java runtime for whichever Minecraft version you choose, with nothing to configure yourself.

  • Whitelist and online-mode toggles in your server settings

Turn your whitelist on or off and control online-mode right from your Minecraft server settings, with a clear warning on what each one does.

2026

Billing2 changes

  • Upgrading from a trial no longer starts you over

Moving from a free trial to a paid plan now keeps the exact same server and world, whether the trial is still running or has already expired. No more losing your progress and setting everything up again.

  • An email confirming every order

You will now get an email confirming your order the moment it goes through, so you always have a record that it worked.

Panel6 changes

  • Project Zomboid bans and whitelist, made trustworthy

We found and fixed a case where admin bans and whitelist entries could silently fail to apply. They are now written to and verified against the server's real moderation data every time, not just shown as successful in the panel.

  • Discord bots start and stop cleanly

Fixed Discord bots getting stuck on "Starting" or hanging when you tried to stop them. They should behave properly now.

  • A real World Manager for Valheim

Valheim now has a proper World Manager for handling your save files safely, plus SteamID-based admin and player-list editing. You can try both live in the demo before you buy.

  • Choose how long backups stick around

You can now set how long automatic backups are kept before they are cleaned up, right from the Backups page. Anything you lock stays untouched no matter what you set.

  • A smoother first run for new trials

Clearer per-game "how to join" instructions, honest handling of your panel credentials, and if a trial ever seems stuck provisioning, a real way out instead of an endless spinner.

  • Fixed a Terraria tModloader crash on startup

Some Terraria tModloader servers were crashing on boot. That is fixed, so modded Terraria servers should start reliably now.

Website2 changes

  • Try the panel before you buy it

Rust, Project Zomboid and Minecraft now have live, interactive panel demos right on their pages, not just screenshots, so you can see exactly what you are getting.

  • A round of mobile polish

Cleaned up the mobile pricing page and shrunk the cookie banner so it stops taking up half your screen on a phone.

2026

Project Zomboid1 change

  • Start a fresh world without losing your settings

Project Zomboid servers can now reset the world and keep your sandbox settings exactly as you had them, and those settings follow the server if you rename it.

Panel2 changes

  • A clearer way around your server

The server menu is now grouped into sections with an icon for each area, and it collapses out of the way when you want more room for the console. Each game brings its own tools, so your Garry's Mod server and your Terraria server each feel like their own place.

  • Your game, front and centre

Server pages and cards now carry proper artwork and logos for the game you are running, so your servers are easy to tell apart at a glance.

Console1 change

  • A straight answer when your server falls over

The console now has an Issues panel that tells you whether your server recovered from a crash and when the last one happened, and flags problems it spots in your console output with suggested fixes.

Plans & pricing1 change

  • A smaller Terraria plan

Terraria now starts at £2 a month for 1.5 GB of RAM and 25 GB of storage, so a small world for you and a few friends does not need a bigger plan.

2026

Console1 change

  • More you can do in the console

Right-click any line in the console to copy it or add your own label, and long multi-line errors like GMod Lua stack traces now fold into a single collapsible block until you want to see the whole thing.

Community & Vitals2 changes

  • Community stats in one place

Player Pulse and the Community Dashboard are now a single page, bringing your players, retention and server health together in one view.

  • Tick rate in Vitals

Vitals now shows your server's tick rate whenever the Health Monitor addon is running, alongside your other live stats.

Panel2 changes

  • A better read on mobile

Text sizing across the panel has been refined for phones and tablets, so pages are easier to read on smaller screens.

  • Smaller fixes and polish

A number of smaller fixes and polish items landed across the panel and website this release, tidying up notifications, layout and everyday details throughout.

2026

Console7 changes

  • A rebuilt server console

The console page has been rebuilt from the ground up. A larger game icon, your server name and a live status pill sit across the top, the terminal has more room to breathe, and the whole page reads more clearly at a glance.

  • Jump straight to Files, Backups and Schedules

A tab bar above the console links directly to your Files, Backups and Schedules, so you can move around your server without hunting through the sidebar.

  • Live resource graphs next to the console

CPU, memory and network now sit as live graphs beside the terminal and update as your server runs. You can watch the console and your resource usage at the same time.

  • See exactly what is using your disk

A storage breakdown appears on the console page and shows how your disk space is split across your files, so you can see what is taking up room before you hit your limit.

  • Graphs plot real elapsed time

The resource graphs now plot points against the real time they happened rather than spacing them evenly, so the shape of the line matches what your server actually did.

  • A fresh look across the panel

The panel has a refreshed teal accent that runs consistently across the console, charts and controls for a cleaner, more considered feel.

  • Offline player count at a glance

Your server card and header now show the player count even while the server is offline for Garry's Mod and Minecraft servers, so you do not need to open the Players page to check.

Files & backups3 changes

  • Download as Zip now gives a real .zip

Choosing Download as Zip in the file manager now produces a proper .zip file that opens straight away on Windows and Mac, with no extra unpacking step.

  • Backups keep your linked files

Some files could be quietly left out of a backup in certain setups. Backups now include everything they should, so a restore brings back the full contents of your server.

  • Dismiss the "not backed up" reminder

The banner that warns when a server has no backup schedule can now be dismissed once you have read it, and it stays dismissed instead of returning on every visit.

Activity & onboarding2 changes

  • Click any activity entry for the full story

Entries in your server activity log are now clickable and open a detail view. Where an entry relates to a file, you can jump straight to that file.

  • Dismiss the "Getting started" card

The welcome card on the console can now be dismissed, and it stays hidden for your account once you have finished with it.

Website & Help Centre3 changes

  • Step-by-step images in help articles

Help articles now include screenshots to follow along with, starting with the DarkRP setup guide, so it is easier to see exactly what each step should look like.

  • Clearer schedule timing

When you build a schedule with several tasks, the panel now spells out the running total of the delay so you can see exactly when each task will fire.

  • Tidier setup progress on mobile

On phones, the setup progress widget now tucks into a compact button so it no longer overlaps your dashboard cards.

Integrations1 change

  • Discord webhook notifications fixed

Creating, updating or removing a Discord webhook could fail. Discord notifications now save and fire reliably again.

2026

Help Centre & website4 changes

  • A game-first Help Centre

The Help Centre now opens onto a grid of games, so you can pick your game and land on guides written for it rather than scrolling one long list.

  • More panel guides in one place

A large batch of panel how-to topics, including a dedicated Rust panel section, now live in the Help Centre alongside everything else.

  • A fuller Minecraft page

The Minecraft page now walks through the panel features you get with a Minecraft server, so you can see what is included before you start.

  • Refreshed GMod page

The Garry's Mod page has updated imagery and clearer wording about where your server is hosted.

Dashboard & servers4 changes

  • Server cards themed to your game

Server cards on the dashboard now carry a background image for the game they run, so your servers are easier to tell apart at a glance.

  • A detail view for each public server

The server finder now has a click-through detail view for each server, with more room for its information.

  • Players-over-time chart on your servers

On your own servers, the detail view now shows a players-over-time chart so you can see when your server is busiest.

  • Long server names wrap instead of cutting off

Longer server names now wrap onto a second line on the /servers cards rather than being truncated, so you can read the whole name.

Account & security2 changes

  • Two-factor accounts no longer locked out at login

Signing in with two-factor authentication enabled could leave some accounts stuck. Login now handles the two-factor step correctly so you can get in as expected.

  • Smoother passkey and authenticator sign-in

Several issues around passkeys and authenticator-app codes at setup and sign-in have been resolved, so both work more reliably.

Billing2 changes

  • Direct purchases provision automatically

Buying a server outright now sets it up automatically after payment, with clear alerts on our side if anything needs a second look.

  • Talk to us about high-memory plans

The largest high-memory plans now show a Contact Us option so we can make sure we have the right capacity ready for you before you commit.

2026

Server finder2 changes

  • A public server finder

There is now a public server finder where you can search, filter and page through community servers to find somewhere to play.

  • Spot your own servers in the list

Your own servers are highlighted within the finder, so they are easy to pick out among the rest.

Minecraft3 changes

  • Player activity log

Minecraft servers now keep a log of who joined and left and how long they played, so you can keep track of who has been on your server.

  • Enchantment picker for kits and give-item

When you build a kit or hand a player an item, you can now choose enchantments from a picker instead of typing them out.

  • Smarter memory allocation

Minecraft servers now size their memory more sensibly across Paper, Forge and Vanilla, leaving healthy headroom so your server is more stable under load.

Console2 changes

  • A cleaner, more readable console

The console has had a readability pass with a tidier terminal header and less visual clutter, making the live log easier to follow.

  • No more double scrollbar

A second scrollbar could appear in the console. It has been removed so scrolling through your logs behaves as you would expect.

Backups2 changes

  • A heads-up when a server has no backups

If a server has no backup schedule set up, the panel now shows a clear banner so you are not caught out without a recent backup.

  • Automatic backups are opt-in

Automatic backups now run only when you set up a backup schedule, so you stay in control of when your server is backed up.

Activity & feedback3 changes

  • A clearer activity feed

The activity feed has been redesigned with plain descriptions of each event, grouped by day and paired with icons, so it is much easier to see what happened and when.

  • Stream-friendly privacy masking

You can now hide personal details like your email in the profile menu and admin views, which is handy when you are sharing your screen or streaming.

  • A new feedback page

There is now a feedback page at /feedback where you can tell us what is working and what you would like to see next.

2026

Minecraft4 changes

  • Starter Kits

Minecraft servers now have Starter Kits: ready-made preset kits plus a builder for creating your own, so new players can be handed a set of gear the moment they join.

  • Enchantments on kits and given items

Items in your kits, and items you hand to players, can now carry enchantments, so you can give out properly kitted-out gear.

  • Player Maintenance tools

A new Player Maintenance area lets you see a player's state and heal, feed or reset them without dropping into console commands.

  • Repeat a kit on every respawn

You can set a kit to be handed out again each time a player respawns, which is ideal for arena and minigame servers.

Console3 changes

  • Tab-completion in the console

The server console now auto-fills commands when you press Tab, so you can run commands faster and with fewer typos.

  • Type commands with or without a slash

The console now accepts commands whether or not you put a slash in front, so it just works the way you expect.

  • A tidier console page

A duplicate header on the console page has been removed, giving the terminal more room.

Domains & server address5 changes

  • Manage your own domain

A new Domain tab lets you point your own custom domain at your server yourself, without needing to raise a ticket.

  • Guided domain verification

When you add a custom domain, the panel now walks you through the DNS records to set and confirms when they are verified.

  • Optional free subdomain

Your server address defaults to a plain address and port, and you can now opt in to a tidy free subdomain if you prefer one.

  • Migration Wizard

A new Migration Wizard helps you bring your files across from another host, so moving to us is far less fiddly.

  • Rust wipe schedule

Rust servers can now be put on a wipe schedule, with an optional backup first and an automatic restart, so wipes happen on time without you being at the keyboard.

VS Code companion2 changes

  • Edit your server files in VS Code

You can now download our VS Code companion extension and edit your server files directly in VS Code on your own computer.

  • In-panel setup guide

A short setup guide in the panel walks you through connecting the VS Code extension, and offers a fallback if VS Code cannot start locally.

Panel3 changes

  • Dismiss and clear notifications

You can now dismiss individual notifications or clear them all at once, so your notifications stay tidy.

  • What makes us different

The homepage now has a section spelling out what sets our hosting apart, so it is easier to see what you get with us.

  • Accurate plans and storage sizes

We corrected the advertised storage sizes on some plans and removed a couple of plans that were listed but not actually available.

2026

Panel13 changes

  • Connect to your server directly from the Console page

A Connect button now appears in the Console page header bar. For GMod servers it launches your game via Steam straight to the server. For other games it copies the server address to your clipboard.

  • Audit log now shows location, browser, and failed login attempts

Each event in your account audit log now includes the approximate location, browser, and device that triggered it. Failed login attempts are highlighted in red so they stand out from normal activity.

  • Email address on the Account page is masked by default

Your email address on the Account page is now hidden by default. Click the eye icon to reveal it, the same way tokens and API keys work elsewhere in the panel.

  • You can now delete your account from the Account page

A self-service account deletion option is available on the Account page under Security. Deletion is permanent and requires password confirmation.

  • Recovery codes page works correctly

The recovery codes page was returning a 404 due to a wrong API path. It now loads and generates codes as expected.

  • Dashboard shows live CPU, memory, and disk per server

Server cards on the dashboard now display real-time resource usage while your server is running. Indicators turn amber above 70% and red above 85%, so you can spot overloaded servers at a glance without opening each one.

  • SAM admin mod supported on the Admin Ranks page

Servers running SAM as their admin mod can now view and manage ranks directly from the Admin Ranks page. The panel detects your admin mod automatically and shows the right interface.

  • GMA addon files can be extracted in the file manager

Uploading a .gma file and extracting it through the file manager now works correctly. Previously .gma files failed silently.

  • Onboarding tour completes reliably

Three bugs in the onboarding tour are fixed: longer steps no longer clip off-screen, targets scroll into view automatically, and the tour no longer crashes if a target element is not present.

  • Email verification resend works from the login page

If your account email is not verified yet, the login page now shows a working resend button with clear status feedback.

  • Players and Health Monitor pages work on all game types

Opening the Players or Health Monitor page on a Minecraft or other non-GMod server no longer causes errors. Each page now shows the right content for your game type or a clear unavailable notice.

  • Console page is less cluttered

A header bar that duplicated the server name, IP, and status already visible in the sidebar has been removed. The console now has more vertical space.

  • Console dropdowns work with keyboard and screen readers

The settings and overflow menus on the Console page now report their state correctly to assistive technology and close when you press Escape.

Workshop & Addons3 changes

  • Installed addons can be disabled without uninstalling

Each addon in your installed list now has a toggle. You can disable it to exclude it from your server temporarily, then re-enable it later without losing it.

  • Addon scan continues running when you switch tabs

Starting an Addon Health Monitor scan and then navigating to another part of the panel no longer cancels the scan. Results are waiting when you come back.

  • FastDL URL is now correct per server

The FastDL download URL shown on the Workshop page previously pointed to a single hardcoded address. It now generates the correct URL for whichever server you are viewing.

Performance3 changes

  • User avatar initials and colour are computed once and cached

Avatar initials and accent colours were recalculated on every render across the panel. They are now computed once and reused, reducing unnecessary work on pages with many user references.

  • Console log history loads near-instantly

Console log history was taking around one second to appear due to a server-side bottleneck on concurrent requests. It now loads in under 100 ms.

  • Console page opens faster on first load

Opening the Console page previously fired duplicate log history requests, adding avoidable wait time. A single shared request now serves the whole page.

Security3 changes

  • Tokens and secrets are masked by default across the panel

API keys, tokens, passwords, and webhook URLs are now hidden behind a mask everywhere they appear in the panel. Click the eye icon to reveal, or the copy icon to copy without showing the value on screen.

  • Disabling two-factor authentication requires confirmation

Turning off 2FA or unsubscribing from push notifications now shows a confirmation step that explains the security impact before making the change.

  • 19 known vulnerabilities patched

The panel's HTTP library has been updated to close 19 CVEs, including prototype-pollution issues that could allow header injection, XSRF token leakage, and credential theft.

Help Centre3 changes

  • Help Centre is now reachable

The Help Centre existed but every link to it returned a 404. It is now live at /help with articles covering panel features, game setup guides, admin rank configuration, and common troubleshooting.

  • ULX article: permissions tab behaviour clarified

The Admin Ranks help article now explains that the Permissions tab shows only direct grants for a rank, not inherited ones from parent ranks.

  • Benchmarks page updated with 8 new real measurements

Eight new entries have been added to the /benchmarks page, drawn from profiling runs: chunk size reductions, container timing, Wings memory usage, and console load times.
