Panel update: cleaner navigation, per-tier pricing, Rust is live

A batch of panel and website changes went out today. Navigation is cleaner, the pricing page now shows exactly what you get per tier, and Rust hosting is no longer waitlist-only.

A large batch of changes shipped today covering panel design, the pricing page, and Rust hosting. Here is what changed and why.

Panel navigation redesign

The sidebar went through a hierarchy pass. Active items are now visually distinct from inactive ones. Section labels are cleaner. The goal was to make it easier to find what you are looking for on a server with many panel sections.

Page headers across Backups, Subusers, Activity, API Keys, and several other pages were standardised to a consistent card-based layout. Switching between sections now feels less disjointed because the structure is the same everywhere.

Full-width dashboard and account pages

The dashboard and account pages were constrained to a maximum width that left empty space on wide monitors. That cap has been removed. If you are using the panel on a wide display, the layout now uses the full width.

A new Table component was introduced to unify how data tables render across the panel. Admin pages in particular had inconsistent table styling. They now share a single implementation.

Empty state standardised across server pages

Pages with no content to show (an empty file manager, no backups yet, no subusers added) previously rendered inconsistently. Some showed a spinner. Some showed nothing. All of these pages now show a consistent empty state with a short description and an action button.

Pricing page: what you get per tier is now explicit

The previous pricing page showed RAM and storage for each tier but not the other limits that affect day-to-day use. Each paid tier card now shows:

  • Backups included (the number of restore points you can keep)
  • Subuser slots (how many teammates you can invite to manage the server)
  • Databases (hosted MySQL databases included with the plan)
  • Player slots on Rust (the hard cap per tier)
  • Priority support on qualifying tiers

A guarantee strip below the tier grid now states the things that apply to every plan: unthrottled bandwidth, DDoS protection, a 99.9% uptime SLA, and support response within 24 hours. These were already true but were not stated anywhere on the page.

Per-game features view on /features

The features page has a new tab bar at the top. Selecting a specific game filters the page to show only the features relevant to that game, with descriptions tailored to that context. The "All games" tab preserves the original overview.

Rust hosting is live

Rust server hosting is no longer waitlist-only. You can sign up and provision a server today from the pricing page. Tiers start at 8 GB RAM and 50 player slots. All four tiers include Oxide and Carbon installation, wipe management, the enhanced categorised console, and the seed explorer tool.

Fast Boot Mode for Rust

Rust servers have an opt-in Fast Boot Mode. With it enabled, the server skips the full map generation step on start, reaching a ready state faster. The tradeoff is that the map seed is not applied until the first wipe. The toggle in the panel shows both sides before you enable it.

Improved panel resilience during Wings outages

Several panel endpoints now serve stale-fallback data when the Wings node is briefly unreachable. Server status, Rust livemap data, and Workshop reads now show the last-known state rather than an error. The data is marked stale so you know it may be a few minutes old, but the panel stays usable during transient outages.
